Basic Eligibility Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be a Michigan resident
• Caregiver must be providing care for a Medicaid-eligible individual (not Medicaid Spend Down)
• Legal spouses of the patient are not eligible as paid caregivers
• Parents cannot be paid caregivers for their minor children (under 18)
• Must pass a criminal history background check
